Stabilised Vitamin C

✓ Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is a highly stable, fast-absorbing and non-irritating form of vitamin C.

✓ Protects against oxidative damage from UV and other environmental factors.

✓ Scavenges the free radicals that are a cause of premature skin ageing.

✓ Improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation, reduces age spots and revitalises skin texture.

✓ Oil soluble. Penetrates deeper into the skin, where it will provide the most tangible benefits.

Vitamin C + Bakuchiol Serum

✓ A powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

✓ With continued use, Bakuchiol has been shown to have a noticeable effect on the skin, including a reduction in wrinkle surface area, pigmentation, elasticity, firmness and overall photodamage.

✓ Doesn’t cause peeling and irritation, and it can be used during the day because it does not cause photosensitivity.

✓ We source our Bakuchiol (trade name Sytenol® A) from the manufacturer, Sytheon.

Quality over quantity

It took a long time to find this type of Vitamin C as it's supposed to be one of the most effective and having bacuchiol was an added bonus as I wanted to try a natural retinol alternative . It also fitted my brief of having very few ingredients and being naturally derived. It goes on easily and should last a long time as a little goes a long way. Like another reviewer mentioned, I don't like the smell on application but it does soon wear off. As for it's effect on my skin it's too early to say.

Love love love this serum. I love the viscosity of this serum, as well as the results I am seeing. My face is certainly brighter, and my sun spots are diminishing. I am finishing Month 3, and am thrilled to have found a clean and responsible company (and love the compostable and recyclable packaging). I pair this with the endless moisturizer every evening and love my new routine.

I don't feel like I have used it long enough yet, but i feel like my skin does not absorb the product. Even though it looks and feels quite moisturising, my skin feels quite tight. The ingredients are exactly what I have been looking for and can't find anywhere else. I may just need a different consistency, possibly in the form of a moisturiser. I will keep on using though.

Thanks for your review, Jasjeeve. This treatment oil won't leave skin moisturised so it's best to use it in combination with a moisturiser. We recommend mixing a few drops with your moisturiser for better absorption. Please feel free to get in touch if you need help or advice about how to get the most out of the product.

This seems like a great formula - really appreciate that it uses and lists Sytenol-A specifically — but unfortunately it didn’t at all suit me. Stuck with it for the entire bottle (~ 3 months) hoping the breakouts and texture were purging but they never did improve. Skin texture much better and breakouts reduced a great deal when I stopped using this, and acne went away almost completely once I added a squalane-based bakuchiol serum instead, so assume it’s either the THDA or the melon oil that my skin doesn’t like. Perhaps at some point will try the Kri bak serum without the Vit C.

We're sorry to read that it wasn't suitable for you, Anju. As you say, it may be that the THDA didn't work with your skin. Bakuchiol's anti-inflammatory properties can help with breakouts so it may be better to try our non-vitamin C version.

Wouldn’t use anything else

Love how gentle THDA is compared to ascorbic acid. My skin looks and feels better. Bottle goes a long way.
